►Credit Clerk - Riverview
TAW® is currently seeking an experienced Credit Clerk for our location in Riverview, FL. Job Summary:  Maintains and posts cash receipts to company ledger, also processes applicants requests for credit by performing the following duties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • On a daily basis researches and inputs cash receipts date into the computer and verifies by comparison to the bank deposits.
  • Verifies the accuracy of deposits posted to customers accounts.
  • Upon request provides special reports reflecting current status of cash collections.
  • Maintains accurate customer files; keeps track of name changes, mergers and address changes.
  • Duplicates, files and retrieves customer account information as needed.
  • Speaks with applicant to obtain personal and financial data.
  • Calls or writes to trade and bank reference to check credit history.
  • Notifies customer by mail, telephone or e-mail of acceptance or rejection of application.
  • Keeps record or file of credit transactions, deposits and payments.
  • Accepts payment on accounts.
  • Keeps record of applications for credit.
  • Provides customer credit information or rating on request to maintain and file.
  • Advises customer by phone or in writing about status of credit request.
  • Assists customer in filing out loan or credit application.
  • Observe all safety procedures and policies and use proper protective gear when applicable.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience:
  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
