    Nuclear Motor Repairs

TAW® can repair and supply nuclear safety-related motors of all sizes – and our dedication to service, quality, and turnaround times sets us apart from the competition. Our Tampa Service Center has been performing work under our 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and 10 CFR Part 21 program since 2010, and has been NUPIC audited since 2013. Additionally, our Quality Management System has been audited by the best nuclear operators in the world (Multiple NUPIC audits as well as a successful DOE audit).

Our objective is to be the best at what we do and to be there for our customers when they need us. We have our own in-house form coil manufacturing facility, we perform all of our nuclear motor restacks of stators and rotors in-house, and we have arguably the largest machine shop of any motor repair facility in the country. This enables us to maintain superior quality control of our nuclear motor repairs. The services we provide to nuclear power facilities include:

Reconditioning/Rewind/Restack – TAW can perform all levels of nuclear motor repairs including basic reconditions, full rewinds, complete stator/rotor lamination restacks, coil fabrication, and more.

Fabrication of Discontinued Parts & Motors – TAW has partnerships with some Original Equipment Manufacturers to build that “one-off spare” that matches your existing motor. We build it from the original manufacture’s drawings under license from the OEM.

Third-Party Decontamination – TAW can decontaminate equipment through approved facilities for free-release and repair. We can arrange for shipment of contaminated equipment to and from our facility, and back to you.

Complete Reporting – TAW maintains a robust quality assurance program with comprehensive documentation reporting. All of TAW’s forms are reviewed, approved, and traceable back to our Quality Assurance Manual. Inspection and Repair Reports are made available to the customer for review and approval. Additionally, all of our suppliers for nuclear safety-related materials are audited or surveyed for compliance to our quality assurance program.
